**A Dive Bar Experience: Hidden Gems and Red Flags** Nestled outside the city, this dive bar presents a mixed bag of experiences. Affordable drinks entice patrons, but the low-quality alcohol raises eyebrows. While the warm welcome from some staff leaves visitors feeling like family, inconsistent service and instances of racial profiling cast a long shadow. Notably, many guests feel ignored depending on who’s behind the bar, creating a sense of invisibility. Despite these issues, the jukebox, decent food, and local charm shine through. With a few renovations and a more hospitable environment, this spot could truly become a beloved community favorite.
I absolutely love the hot wings at this place; they're cooked to perfection. Although it has the vibe of a dive bar, I always feel welcomed and comfortable here. Definitely worth a visit!
Unfortunately, during my first visit three weeks ago, they were out of half the items I wanted to order. I could see the staff exchange glances, clearly uncomfortable as they had to inform me that they didn’t have another item on the menu available that day.
I returned to this establishment about four years after my first visit, and everything still looked the same. The jukebox offers a fantastic mix of new and classic songs, though you'll need to pay for your selections. It definitely had a lot of locals hanging out. There's a spacious bar area as well as indoor seating suitable for families. Plenty of TVs are around, and I was told they show Ravens and Washington football games. Parking is conveniently located right next door. While they no longer offer draft beer, there's a good selection of bottled beer and a full bar. The bathrooms were a bit unusual—no stalls, just two toilets side by side and a sink. Overall, it's a great dive bar!
It ain't the Taj Mahal palace. During day light it is a good place to get good food and beer .The bartender's and servers couldn't be better .The prices are very fair. Some of the patrons nice people, others it is better to just forget they arethere.
The drinks are cheap but it?s truly because the alcohol they use is very cheap but that?s not my issue with this place. I saw them racially profile and treat two black gentlemen poorly. It was an older white lady who worked there picking at them andthere clothes, kept going over there when they were clearly just eating a meal. Told them there outfits were inappropriate whenthey were wearing a sweatshirt. The whole bar staring, because of this I won?t be back the drink quality is too cheap anyways.Instant headache. If you are a person of color, do not come here. You are not welcomed, go up the street to a black ownedbusiness. Thank you.
