My tour for Abruzzo was first of all a gastronomic journey, because this land offers unique flavors and dishes that made me discover new ingredients to which I had never given too much importance. near the laquila c tempera, a small village on the mountains of Abruzzo, and here is the restaurant assumed, on a defilated road lined with poplars. it comes not very easy, but it is worth it: the restaurant that I hired surrounded by nature, and I found myself surrounded by trees, ponds and streams, away from the rest of the world. the restaurant very well maintained and spacious, all in wood, as I like perfect you in winter than in summer: when it is cold, the fireplace is lit, while when the sun is next to the pond. the restaurant works a little special: You're gonna have to frame yourself and shoot yourself, and there's no table service. the menu full of fish dishes; I ate roasted trout and shrimp paste, accompanied by an excellent vegetable salad. there is a wide choice of Abruzzo wines and outside there is a fountain to drink water. a great meal in the middle of nature.
The restaurant is located in tempera, a village a few kilometers from the eagle. Following the signs, at some point you leave the main road and you walk a dirt road between poplar trees and beech trees. When you arrive you are in front of a wooden gate open on a gravel path, on the sides are placed in beautiful row small pots of red geraniums. a few meters drive to the parking reserved for guests. the location is really beautiful, surrounded by greenery and nature. where you turn your eyes you can see trees and many small streams and ponds from the sources of the real river. for those who love nature is a real paradise, you can also sunbathe because there is an area equipped with deck chairs overlooking the pond. inside the room is very large and well maintained, with wooden furniture and a beautiful stone fireplace. in the winter months of course it lights up making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. on the outside there are several tables located in various points and an area equipped under a veranda that from the pond. the perimeter of the pond is surrounded by wooden fences and is also accessible for the smallest, because there is no danger. the management of the premises is familiar, to welcome you there are the sweet hired and his daughter marina. I think the restaurant is unique. when you arrive you go as a rental or as a tourist port at the order bar inside you consult the menu and decide the orders. then the name will be asked to the male host who will be called with the speaker if you eat out or with a bell if you eat inside, which will have to prepare the table and will be called to take the courses when they are ready. the attention will also have to put everything back at the end of the meal, if it will not be recalled to the order. tablecloth, dishes and others are prepared on a special table and you will be called to take them. At the end of a narrow path and following a small river, you can bump against Assunta's restaurant. It is a big restaurant close to a small lake with ducks. Owner and personnel are kind. Service is funny and effective. You make your order and when ready, they call your name and you go and bring your staffs to your table. You take fresh water directly from a fountain. Price is affordable and food is prevalent based on trota fish. Generally, it is nice. To be discovered!
