Our waitress Storm, was very attentive to our dining needs. We did not need reservations and was waited on immediately, upon arrival on New Year’s Eve. The food was served hot and she made sure our tea and coffee glass/cup was refilled without us asking her. The food was seasoned well and tasty, especially the vegetables and soup. The French fries was fried well done, or crispy. My husband and friend enjoyed dining at the Empire Diner and will go back to dine there again without reservation. First, the menu has at least 200 or more items on it. It was like reading a book!!! The waitress came back three times before I found something my taste buds finally settled on. I ordered the half chicken w/ mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Thechicken was overcooked and dry, the potatoes were mediocre but the veggies were delicious. The waitress brought drinks with herhands covering the top of the glass which is unsanitary because everyone doesn't want to drink from a straw. She should havebeen taught to pick up and distribute drinks from the middle or bottom of the glass. The atmosphere was very laid back and calm.
The food was delicious and they give you a lot of food. I enjoyed everything and I had the Salmon Benedict and the poached eggs was perfect.
