In my opinion, the best tapas bar in Cologne. Authentic cuisine, quite loud and a bit chaotic. I like it very much. Also suitable for a larger group with some vegetarians.
Incredibly good, authentic and varied tapas!!!! I would say some of the best in Cologne. Price performance is absolutely top! All tapas cost the same and the drinks prices are also completely reasonable. The two of us paid 58 for 7 tapas, 0.5 liters of sangria and a large bottle of sparkling water. The service is super on point and friendly. The only catch is the acoustics. Once the store is quite full, it is unbearably loud. You hardly understand your own words and have to make a lot of effort when speaking and listening. We only lasted until after dinner and then had to leave. My ears still hurt the next day. In the future, I'll go there during the week in the hope that the noise will be better there.
Still the best tapas restaurant in Cologne, in my opinion. I think the option to look at the tapas at the counter and choose your food there is a great and unique concept. There's something for everyone. Yes, as a short person (under 1.60 m I can't see everything in the bowls (this was negatively rated in one of the recent reviews , but the staff are happy to take the time to explain everything. The aioli is world-class, and so is the sangria. It's also a great concept that you only pay for what you drink from the bottle. The boquerones fritos could have used a bit more spice, but otherwise, it was once again delicious. The only thing I find unfortunate is that you now have to sit outside under a white gazebo. It used to be nicer. But I think that also has something to do with noise protection (big thanks to the residents and the city of Cologne ; ?!
