We came here on a Saturday night as a group of 6 and had a very enjoyable dinner. The restaurant is very spacious and there were only a few tables occupied so it was quiet and easy to hear everyone. As it is also a function room, there is not a huge amount of atmosphere in the restaurant. We had a variety of dishes from each of the courses and all of the food was really good. Our welcome on a hideously cold night was warm and sincere. The fire was lit, room warm and music quiet. The food was almost brilliant. Lovely flavour combinations, but frequently an element was burnt or over salted. Service was wonderful, although when I explained my toast was burnt, I should have been offered a replacement, not a justification.
An all round pleasing experience with lovely food and excellent service. This is a restaurant that you could visit as a couple, family, with friends or for business - it's Versatile.
I stumbled upon this restaurant on Instagram and their dishes caught my eye in an instant. This is such a great restaurant. Couldn't fault a thing; the wine list, menu, service and ambiance were all amazing! We will definitely be back and being more people to enjoy this wonderful spot.
Having recently arrived from UK in Canberra for weekend found this fantastic restaurant. Menu instantly caught my attention. Well thought out and balanced showing chef has skill and that was certainly confirmed when the food was presented. All courses cooked to perfection supported by excellent bottle of Brindabella Hills Brio Sangiovese 2017 which suited my European tastes. Head chef Andrew and his excellent waiting staff made for an excellent overall experience
Our visit to Versatile happened by accident, but Andrew and his team delighted with his menu, his exquisite food and delightful ambience. It was one of the best dining experiences I have had for some time and would recommend if without reservation to all who enjoy their food and who are prepared to travel a little to experience this gem of a place.
