The Elite in Jackson, a longtime favorite, offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with excellent service. While some dishes fell short, the fried catfish, rolls, and onion rings score high. The German pot roast, however, needs improvement. Though some had bad experiences with service, others have enjoyed the delicious food and friendly staff. The restaurant's rolls are a standout, as are the veal cutlets with white gravy. While dessert may not be worth it, the unique atmosphere and reliable service make The Elite a must-try dining spot in Jackson.

The best place to eat in Jackson! It's a special place and the rolls are baked in heaven and sent down to earth...as well as the sauce on the table, the veal, the enchiladas and the staff. My favorite! View all feedback.

Didn't start off well but ended satisfied. They didn't have any pie (their only dessert apart from ice cream...which is for the pie) at 7:30 on a Friday night of all times. They don't make sweet tea (at a restaurant in the south that makes fried fish, fried pickles, onion rings etc) AND they were out of meatballs for their spaghetti. Ugh. The day with the family today. I've been feeding here since I was a little child, that was my man (from tennessee) the first time to try. we all ordered icy, it was fresh, perfectly brewed our server was to refill our glasses on a timely way. my man ordered fried garnel, my son got the cheeseburger, I ordered the chicken meat valal steak. all of us got the perfectly fried riders with our escapes. we also ordered an order of fried dillpflücken. hot crispy. the best yeast were served hot with butter. her comeback dressing was delicious. the only complaint was mine man. he wanted a bigger salate. no place for dessert w, we were filled. Many thanks for offering us a delicious Mississippi food service. good to be home again.
I've gone to elite for 10 years (42 years). our family would go to dinner on Friday night. I always get the same thing today. with white engraving. but I had the enchiladas and they are great. they have the rolling market in the city.
Stopped off here for a quick lunch and wasn’t disappointed. This is one of the older lunch establishments in the downtown Jackson area. There wasn’t a long wait to get a table and the hostess was friendly as she sat us. Our waitress was courteous and informed us of the specials and got our drink order. The food came out pretty fast and had really good flavor. The prices were about right considering the amount of food you received and all in all it was a good experience. Definitely try the rolls.
Every year for my birthday when I was young, my parents would take me to The Elite. It was my favorite then, and it still is now. The Veal Cutlets with white gravy are absolutely delicious, and the Elite rolls are fantastic!
This restaurant in Jackson is the best place to eat. Everything on the menu is delicious. The majority of the staff has been working there for years, so the service is excellent!
