Went to Punch for dinner yesterday, and the food was terrible—if you can even call it that. It used to be good, but it has really gone downhill.

We stopped by Forrest Co At The Punch today. We used to love the food here when we visited Hull, but this time was disappointing. I ordered chicken goujons in a wrap with fries, but instead, I got a chicken burger wrapped and cut in half. The wrap was stuck to the burger like it had been toasted in a sandwich press. The fries tasted like they were a few days old. My wife ordered a veggie lasagne but was told they didn’t have any, so she went for a baked potato with cheese instead. The baked potato arrived cold and had to be taken back. We also ordered a portion of chips that never came until we asked. When they did arrive, the chips were hot but hard inside. The baked potato came back hot at least. This place used to be busy with great food, but it seems like it’s changed hands. Honestly, it’s the worst meal I’ve had in 40 years. No wonder there were so few customers. Price per person: £20–30. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2.
