Was Denise Wegner at Ugarit a mag?
Very nice chicken biryani, and still a good temperature on arrival, I was'nt keen on the pomegranate molasses in on the borak Bil Sabanekh though, but that's just personal taste. Nice , quick delivery, thanks. View all feedback.
What Laurentiu Popa dislikes about Ugarit:
Even a fast food shop serves fresh homemade food, a restaurant serving supermarket products, and bad quality food, it's really a shame. Ordered first time, never again View all feedback.
I was part of a party of 24, I'd heard from other people that it wasn't very good but went with an open mind.
We went there the other dayWe were graced by the presence of a rather rude little obnoxious waitor.
Ugarit is a fairly small restaurant with really friendly staff and delicious food. Their desert range I limited but their starters and mains are outstanding and you never leave hungry because their portion sizes are quite generous. Really good value for money, we'll be back!
The food was excellent and very good value for money. The service was impeccable.
The distinctive exterior gives an impression of authenticity and ambition. I never eat out these days as I’m invariably disappointed but thought I’d take a punt, just on that exterior. I can handle an alcohol free dining experience but what was on offer, drink-wise was uninspiring. I went to ‘lemon juice’ and my partner went for ‘carrot juice’. Surely it couldn’t just be lemon juice, carrot juice but it was; no frills, bog standard glassware. I imagine they prepare all their dishes in plastic takeaway tubs. A portion of meat, some veg and then rice. This makes them easy to store and reheat with portion control sorted. But to reheat it and present it on a plate still in the shape of an upturned takeaway tub wasn’t visually the most inspirational approach. Too much rice, too little flavour, too little value.
