**Restaurant Review: Wingstop Experience**
Wingstop presents a polarizing dining experience, with reviewers highlighting significant inconsistencies in quality and service. While some patrons rave about perfectly cooked wings and friendly staff, others express frustration over missing items and poorly executed orders. The inconsistency appears especially pronounced with online orders, leading to disappointment in flavor and preparation. Dine-in experiences seem favorable, but carryout often falls short of expectations. Communication issues with staff exacerbate concerns, with long hold times reported when seeking assistance. Ultimately, while some diners leave satisfied, many recommend exploring alternative wing options elsewhere.
The person at the front desk was really friendly; I think he was the manager or something similar. The flavors were quite nice, though I found them a bit too mild for my taste. My main issue was with the meal deal I ordered—$20 for 20 wings, but each wing was about the size of a McDonald's chicken nugget, and some were even smaller. The tiniest ones were mostly just breading. Paying $1 for each small piece of food left me feeling a bit shortchanged. However, the seasoning was good!
The food was terrible! It seemed like the staff might be using drugs. I had to use the restroom, and one of the workers took about 15 minutes before coming out clearly under the influence of something. I suspect it was meth due to the strong chemical smell. The chicken wings we ordered were disappointing and mostly just bones. The French fries also didn’t taste anything like homemade.
The gentleman working today was truly fantastic. It was evident that he was passionate about his work.
I’m crazy about fried chicken, almost as much as I love dipping it in blue cheese. It seems like there are new staff members again, but the wings and fries were absolutely delicious. I had an 8-piece bone-in order, cooked extra well done, with garlic Parmesan and mild sauce, blue cheese for dipping, and Parmesan fries.
I placed an order for delivery through DoorDash, but the food never arrived. I realize I missed a call, but the driver called from an unfamiliar area code and didn’t properly introduce himself. The first thing he asked was if I lived on military property, which made it seem like a scam. I had no idea the caller was my delivery driver since he never said, "Hi, I'm Brandin from DoorDash," by call or text. When I tried calling back two hours after the expected delivery time, the number was disconnected. I attempted to contact the Wingstop location directly to cancel my order, but no one answered—despite multiple calls over a couple of hours that night and the following morning. It’s frustrating how difficult it is to reach anyone, and I never received a response to the voicemail I left. If they won’t answer calls, there should at least be an online system for refunds. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location again. I’d give zero stars for how complicated they’ve made requesting a simple refund. It’s almost laughable how hard it is just to speak to someone. Judging by the voicemail encouraging orders online, it seems they rely too much on their website and completely ignore phone calls.
