The Shingen restaurant offers some of the best traditional Japanese soba in O'AHU, with a delicious variety of dishes to choose. The friendly staff and warm atmosphere add to the authentic dining experience. While the decor is nice, some minor details like wet napkins could be improved. Nevertheless, the excellent service and superb quality of food, including fresh sashimi, grilled beef tongue, and perfectly timed dishes, make it a favorite dining spot for many patrons. The welcoming environment and top-notch customer service make it a highly recommended place to enjoy real Japanese cuisine.
Because the restaurant was too busy, we could not order sushi. the server was also not very nice and not helpful at all.
Last minute reservation on valentines, eating was good, but nothing to want to come for more. the staff was friendly and the service was fast.
I discovered a delightful gem in the touristy area of Waikiki. The cold ube soba noodles paired with a side of curry rice were exactly what I was craving for a warm afternoon lunch. The service from Masako was incredibly warm and friendly. I was so pleased with my experience that I returned twice in one week!
The oxtail curry was incredibly delicious. The cold soba noodles were a refreshing choice after a long walk on a hot, humid day. The server was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
