eating was very good, the restaurant is family friendly for children with play equipment and activities for children, staff are very friendly and helpful and also with a late booking on our side managed to get a table on Easter Saturday for which we were very grateful. would recommend and will return. What User dislikes about Highfields Tavern:
Last night, I was extremely dissatisfied with my meal at the restaurant. I had ordered a Thai beef salad, but what I received was definitely not what I expected. The dish was made with coleslaw instead of the traditional ingredients, and the beef was overcooked and lacking in flavor. I will not be ordering this dish again until it is prepared correctly as a true Thai beef salad. View all feedback.
We come here quite often and will carry on until we leave disappointed. So far, so good. Steak is always a good choice although the sauces never taste like what you ask for. They must be add-water packet sauces which let the meal down somewhat.
I initially reserved a table for ten people at this restaurant. I later called to increase the number to 12 and then 14, but each time I received an email confirming the request for a table for 10. This was disappointing. To make matters worse, they expected two people to share a table with others seated in between two tables. On a positive note, the food was served quickly, portions were generous, and the quality of the food was good.
