Read excellent reviews about this take away so last Fri decided to give it a spin. Oh dear..what a disappointment.The chips were soggy and tasteless.The fish although very large was ,would you believe, chewy and the curry sauce was a gloppy mess that even our...toilet refused to flush away.Chucked the whole lot in the totally wasted. We absolutely love this place. The fish is fresh and tasty; with a beautiful crunchy batter..The chips are also fresh and flavourful. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and approachable and they helped us when we called in about a discrepancy between the portion size...on the JustEats menu. Thank you so much Crispy Cod! We'll be back again soon!

This is a large family-run fish and chips shop that has become our favorite in the area. It's consistently excellent, with always fresh fish, and has been run by the same family since it opened about ten years ago. While they may not be the cheapest in town, they rank among the top three fish and chips shops, alongside Barracudas and Fishy Business in Upminster. It's best to place your order in advance, especially on Fridays, to avoid waiting for your fish to be cooked fresh. They now accept payment via tickets as of August 2020.
