If you are wanting a great tasty bowl of homemade soup, various varieties, cream or other, and a sandwich this is the place to visit. It is open early in the morning for travelers and workers wanting a coffee and breakfast sandwich. ( 5 am.)
If you can crack through Jim's shell he will make you smile. He starts work early to prepare homemade soup and sandwiches for his customers.
We stopped at the Lazy J for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed the special of the day which was vegetable soup and an egg salad sandwich. We enjoyed a great cup of coffee with refills. The owner takes pride in the food he provides and clearly enjoys visiting with his customers.
The staff is consistently friendly and attentive without rushing you. The food is always served hot and delicious. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but seating is usually available.
