Nestled in Hampton, this fast-food outpost serves reliably fresh, piping-hot chicken with friendly staff, but inconsistent operations dent the experience. Guests praise the food and helpful employees, yet frequent slow drive‑thru waits, occasional sold-out items, broken payment equipment, unclean dining tables, and variable fry and packaging quality create frustrating surprises. Great for travelers and fans of classic Southern chicken who prioritize flavor, but expect occasional lapses in speed, availability, and cleanliness.
Drive Thursday only. Did not get my order correct. Was there to purchase a larger order of chicken but had to settle for a 12 pc. Took 20 min to get through the line. Got there at 515 pm and was home at 535 pm. Fries were overly salty. All the sides were cold and I only had a 2 mile drive home. I will have to be hard up for their chicken again.
Infinitesimal amounts of Empathy? Bojangles on Mercury, in Hampton, Va, sold out of chicken, yet was able to make more for me? When you work customer service in the food industry, it?s thankless. During the pandemic, it was dangerous. But like the comeback kid, fast food restaurants, survived, and thrived and not just because of customers. Management had empathy and it showed in the employees care towards my food. Thank you!!!!
The food is great, but they are very slow to serve. They also didn't give us a bag large enough to hold our food. Credit Card system was down (broken transceiver was hanging next to the drive thru). These guys had checked out.
Waited in the drive thru line from 7:30 up until 7:50. I had to leave the line without even ordering or else I would've made my roommate late for work. As we left the line, I saw the drive thru window. They literally only had one customer. They had beenmaking each person ahead of us wait entire minutes before taking their order. Meaning they had likely been fully handling justthe one customer at a time. I understand some locations are short staffed, but even so, this is ridiculous. How does taking theorders ahead of time like you're supposed to slow you down in any way? Suffice to say I'm never coming to this place forbreakfast again, especially given how many times I've heard the staff loudly badmouthing customers.
7:03 AM on October 25, 2022 I just had breakfast there granted everything was hot and fresh. The grease must?ve been old because the taste was very off. They did have great customer service and tried to make my food as fresh as possible but the grease justwouldn?t let it be great.
