excellent bar, very cozy, friendly and young waiters/waxes. the outside has some beautiful green trees and many tables. it is near the center and next to a market place. the beer is probably the freshest in hamburg. it takes only 24 hours to come for this beer from Czech to hamburg and it is stored in some special barrels that soothe a taste as fresh as from its source. great! What Anonym dislikes about Wald:
nice atmosphere, but the expensive draft beers were repeatedly not full enough. Even after complaining, I didn't get as much beer as I was paying for. That's fraud. The waitress was also not very knowledgeable (she didn't know what a Duckstein is, which is a common brand of beer in Germany... and tried to justify the beer-to-foam ratio. I won't come back! The unpasteurized mushroom urquell is a kind of speciality and very tasty. I visited the week and it was not crowded. the interieur is definitely noticeable. great place to meet good drinks.
