adventurous neighboring restaurant with equal attention to vegan and gluten-free as meaty and fish dishes. the plates are beautiful and stand up to any west end joint. all served naturally hackney flair. View all feedback.
Had a wonderful dinner with friends here. I have often crossed the restaurant and checked the window in the beautiful interieur, but there was never much choice on the menu for vegans. Now there are some great options creatiw, tasty and beautiful executed. another diner who had a seafood risotto said it was the best he would ever have cost! the service was very friendly and the atmosphere cozy and peaceful. will be back soon.
Really nice eating, atmosphere and all the workers were great. a real selection of really big vegan foods (but not only vegan foods! this is for me the model of how vegans for not only vegan foods, but to provide with the choice. the personal was all beautiful and the chef came to have a chat at the end that was great. highly recommended.
This restaurant is truly exceptional. I went last night and loved this place. I usually don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to defend this gem from poor reviews. It's a great place that serves imaginative, delicious, and soul-lifting food that nourishes both the mind and body. The starters, such as the prosciutto with pomegranate drizzled in a divine ambrosia and the mackerel/potato mound with amazing salad leaves, were of top quality. The mains, including the gorgeous lamb with a finely tuned sauce and salmon in broth, were equally brilliant. The chocolate fondant with salted caramel pudding was the perfect consistency and sweetness, just as delicious, surprising, and inspiring as the other dishes. The Portuguese red wine was the perfect companion. The service was great, and the kitchen staff were excellent as well. The place is very cute. It was our 4th anniversary dinner, and we couldn't have been happier. I highly recommend checking it out and having as good of a time as we did!
I had never visited Floyd's restaurant before, as it is a bit hidden away from the main street of Kingsland Road. A friend recommended it to me, so I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad that I did! My friend and I both enjoyed our starters, main dishes, and shared a dessert. I tried the smoked pigeon breast and the Rib eye steak, both of which were delicious and beautifully presented. My friend, who is a vegetarian, had the asparagus and courgette linguine dishes and was very impressed with the creativity and thoughtfulness of the vegetarian options. We also shared the prune and caramel terrine, which was both inventive and tasty. The service was attentive yet relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Thank you, Floyd (whoever you are)!
