We started with a sweet cornbread appetizer topped with cheese. I wouldn't recommend it, as the cheese was hot, but the cornbread itself was either cold or lukewarm in spots. It was quite dry and seemed to be lacking in sauce. My husband ordered a breaded steak entrée that came with a generous serving of beans alongside his rice, which he found satisfying and flavorful. I opted for the mixed seafood ceviche verde, which features avocado. I felt the dish could have used more lime juice; while salt was added, it wasn't mixed evenly, resulting in some parts being saltier than others. I was pleased with the portion size and ended up overeating because I didn't want to take leftovers home. The mixed seafood included shrimp, baby octopus, larger octopus legs, squid, and a few pieces of fish—only about six small pieces, unfortunately. The dish was served with fried plantain chips, but instead of the long plantain chips mentioned on the menu, we received broken ones, which was disappointing since I really enjoy plantain chips. I did notice that other reviews and photos showed diners receiving the whole-length chips. Additionally, my husband ordered a soda, and we had to remind two servers to bring it over. Honestly, while Groupon may seem like a good deal, you end up getting less food overall, and there's an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill due to using the voucher. I understand they’re running a business and want it to work, but it felt more like a gimmick. Overall, the food was good, and we’re glad we tried this restaurant. However, our first visit was a bit underwhelming as first-time customers. Perhaps next time, we'll receive better service and portion sizes that match the menu photos—especially if we don't use a Groupon!
I visited this restaurant with a few friends and was pleasantly surprised. Although it may not look like much from the outside, the interior is quite charming. The brightly colored walls create a welcoming atmosphere and add a unique character to the place. Our waitress was fantastic; she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. She even helped us take pictures for a birthday celebration, adjusting one of the hanging lamps so it wouldn’t obstruct the camera's angle. Her willingness to assist with our poses really showcased the kindness of the staff. I ordered a burrito filled with steak and rice from the Mexican section of the menu, and the moment I cut into it, I knew I had made the right choice. The steak pieces I pierced with my fork were perfectly tender and juicy.

Although the food takes a bit of time to arrive, it is absolutely worth the wait. The portions are generous, and everything is fresh and full of flavor. We tried the Mexican ceviche and grilled salmon served with a tropical salad—both were incredible and packed with authentic flavors. Plus, the restaurant allows you to bring your own beverage, and they opened our bottle of wine with no corking fee. We’re already looking forward to returning to try more items from their menu!
Now, with that in mind, this place is absolutely fantastic! We loved everything about it. The appetizers were delicious, especially the tostones stuffed with shrimp and the ceviche. I ordered the Venezuelan bandeja paisa, which includes ropa vieja, rice, beans, eggs, and avocado—each bite was bursting with flavor; it's honestly the best bandeja I've ever had! My wife enjoyed a chicken dish that she raved about as well. We left feeling full and very satisfied. The restaurant is clean, warm, and cozy, and the staff is incredibly polite, offering excellent recommendations. We will definitely be back!
As a first-time visitor, I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the food was even better. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I discovered this place through Groupon, and I will certainly be coming back. We tried the Bohemian platter and a chicken dish topped with a delicious mushroom sauce.
