In Guildford, there are two very good Thai restaurants. One is the Thai Terrace, which is quite expensive, and the other is the Rumwong. They belong to the same owner, but in the second one you don't pay for the view over the city. It is a more intimate atmosphere as well, although the place was very crowded. It's a shame that they only take reservations for 6:30 or 9:15 at night... We tried to go around 7 and they told us we would have to finish before 9. The service was very quick, even a bit rushed, but the food was great. The dishes are beautifully presented and seeing them go by made you want to eat everything. For starters, we tried the fishcakes, a bit spicy, and for mains a dish of duck and another of scallops and prawns, both delicious. Accompanied by a prawn pad thai that I loved. It came to around 40 pounds for two people with drinks. I highly recommend it.

We started with savory pancakes, a bit spicy, and then had a dish of duck and another with scallops and delicious shrimp. We also had a shrimp pad that I loved. The bill came out to about 40 pounds for two people with drinks. I highly recommend it.
