Feedback
Ray's restaurant in Green River has received a variety of reviews, from some customers praising the great burgers and friendly service, to others who were underwhelmed by the food and ambience. Some visitors have been loyal patrons for over a decade, while others stop by on road trips between Colorado and Los Angeles. The restaurant seems to be a popular spot among locals, packed with customers and good conversation. Overall, Ray's offers a decent burger, prompt service, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a convenient stop for some travelers and a favorite among others in town.
In town just for the night and was told this place had great steaks so I ordered their 12-ounce Ribeye and it was juicy and cooked just right. Besides, the staff was excellent!
Chicken Terryaki was in name only. Tasted like grilled chicken. Burger was good but a little over done. Ambiance was non existent and the service a little reluctant.
The place to stop between Colorado and Los Angeles So I often like to haul from Colorado to LA and then back. Ray's is my stop. It's greater than the sum of its parts. Wood paneling, a bar, taps, burgers and steaks, booths and pool tables in the back. I've had good conversations at the bar and some great burgers. This one, my friends, is the place is to stop. (Down the way you can get a $60 night at Motel Six, and it's clean!
I couldn’t give it any higher. Their page indicates open but when I drove to it it’s closed for the entire month of December. Very disappointing.
Just what you'd expect from an old food joint in a town located in the middle of nowhere! That's why most people stop here, right? Food was good, service was good, atmosphere is just what we had hoped for. The only thing missing were tumbleweeds in the street out front! I've seen other comments being critical of this place, but I'm thinking they were expecting it to be on the Michelin restaurant list. It's not, because it's not meant to be. It's meant to be exactly what you think it will be....and it is! Give it a try, and have some fun!
