This restaurant is excellent. We tried the grill and were guided by the wonderful aroma of the food. The ribs were some of the best I've ever had - tender, meaty, and perfectly smoked with oak. We had to ask 2 to 3 times to get something, and when we asked what was on a dish, it came out with additional ingredients that were not mentioned, which my wife couldn't eat. This restaurant review is not accurate compared to other reviews. The place is not deserving of 5 stars. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. While the sandwich was good, it was small for my liking. The loaded fries were probably the best part of the meal. The drinks are overpriced at around $3 each, so I would only recommend splurging on them if it's payday. Overall, the restaurant is average - not great, but not terrible either. Some reviews exaggerate its quality.

First rate, my family and I have eaten there several times with the same results. Great food and service are difficult to find these days, I would recommend the Hog Trough to anyone who wanted a good meal in Grayson.
