Was Gerry K at Yong Fu a mag?
I had an amazing experience at Yong Fu, a Chinese takeout spot on Esmond Hill. The salt and chili shredded chicken starter was fantastic, especially alongside the satay chicken skewer. The fried rice, priced at €11.50, was generous enough to share between two people. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Yong Fu:
It's been six years since I last visited the Yong Fu takeaway in Gorey. The last time, I rated it as terrible on TripAdvisor. This Monday, August 1st, I ordered the same Peking Hot and Sour Soup along with a bag of chips. I would now rate the food as average. While the soup was a bit watery in my opinion, it was flavorful, tangy, and packed with spices. The chips, although cooked from frozen, were just acceptable. View all feedback.
Had Singapore chow me in , very spicy ,but tasty . Curry was also hot and spicy . Quantity good ,reasonable
Following a two day fishing expedition along the coastlines in Courtown, Roney Point and Cahore, I stopped off in Gorey for a light meal on Saturday evening 13 August. The previous evening I had also stopped in Gorey and tried the food in the Ming Garden, Chinese Takeaway which has no listing on TripAdvisor, so I did not do a review on it. However on Saturday I dropped into the YongFu Chinese takeaway and ordered the Peking Hot and Sour Soup €3.80) and a bag of chips €2.50). I found the soup to be a bit on the watery side and a bit bland, while the chips were overcooked and very hard. Comparing the soup to the one I got the previous night in the Ming Garden leaves a lot to be desired. If I had to choose where I would stop and eat Chinese food again in Gorey, I'd plump for the Ming Garden.
Good value and excellent cooking. All the dishes we ordered were well flavoured, with quality ingredients. Vegetables were prepared in a manner appropriate to the cooking method, so that they were actually cooked. We really enjoyed out take-out from here and would thoroughly recommend it.
Second time ordering here lovely warm staff friendly and cheerful open vibe. Food was faultless , fresh and delicious. Well done , will be back soon .l Thank you
This is hands down the best Chinese takeout in town. The menu is great, the food is always fresh, and the service is friendly. Don't miss out on trying the rice or noodle boxes – they're a game-changer!
