Was Costermonger79 at Salt Waters a mag?
My wife and I stayed in Gloucester for a night away and decided to stop by The Quays before heading home. We were looking for something different from the usual chain restaurants that were packed with participants from the Race for Life event. We were pleasantly surprised by this tea shop. The homemade food was amazing, served on unique tea sets and plates. Everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend visit... View all feedback.
What braithwaite12 dislikes about Salt Waters:
Quaint and charming tea shop on the historic docks at Gloucester Service sandwiches and snacks are great. The attractive rather different gifts on display make an interesting few minutes of gazing. We found several helpful unusual presents. Nice to sit outside or people gaze through the windows View all feedback.
Some interesting items in the cafe to look at and purchase. Largest cup of coffee I have seen in a while. The pottery they use is lovely and usually for sale although unfortunately they had run out when we visited.
We wanted something different food wise and found it in this quaint café. The café itself is not very large but enough seating for those who came to eat. During the time that we were in the café potential customers who came into the café were able to find a seat. The service is sit down at a table choose what you want to eat or just have a drink go to the counter where a young man and woman were ready to take our order. The two persons serving were so polite and just could not do enough for us or anyone else. The food was brought to our table, both myself and wife were very please with the fresh sandwiches we had ordered, washed down with teas of ones choice. When finished and ready to make our way I paid at the counter and left. The café was also like a small shop with gifts etc. on sale. Where we sat was opposite the water where long boats were moored. There was plenty to watch as the time passed bye. If you want something different then this is the place for you to visit, I can thoroughly recommend this establishment to all.
Sunday morning visit to Gloucester Docks. Sat outside the mariners church listening to the choir singing and spotted nearby Salt Waters cafe! Tea and toasted tea cake! First class. 3 hours later returned for a toasted sandwich ham and coleslaw 2 pots of earl grey sticky buns, first class service. Independent traders who deserve to do well.
Stopped for tea and cake! Lovely cake, very reasonably priced right next to the Quays. Staff very lovely!
