Nestled in Gloucester, Passports is celebrated for its delectable cuisine, including standout dishes like seafood and popovers. Diners rave about the exceptional flavors, warm ambiance, and friendly staff. However, service inconsistencies have been noted, with some guests experiencing unwelcoming greetings and lackluster attentiveness. Despite these setbacks, many patrons appreciate the charming British host, Christopher, who adds a welcoming touch. While the food shines, uneven service detracts from the overall experience. A beloved spot for locals and tourists alike, Passports excels in culinary offerings but may need to refine its service to match its culinary reputation.
During our first visit to Gloucester, the Maritime Museum recommended Passports to us three girls for lunch. We were thrilled that they did! The fresh popovers were a delicious surprise, and the half Caesar salad was the best I've ever had. The salmon and Albacore tacos were also quite tasty. The shrimp quesadilla was wonderful, and the service was excellent, even on a busy Friday afternoon. Overall, this was the best food we had during our trip to Massachusetts so far!
After walking in, we decided to try this restaurant based on the recommendations of others, especially my picky eating friend. It turned out to be a fantastic experience to end the day. The food was cooked perfectly, although I will mention that the music playing was not suitable for families with children. However, it seems like the restaurant caters to a more chic, hip, and modern crowd rather than families.
This photographer is the best I have ever had. She was very nice to me and the photos turned out even better than I expected. I would definitely recommend her.
We had a great time and the food was delicious. Mussels were abundant as an appetizer and we got the awesome bread. Had the Asian curry with lobster and sisters haddock. Overall, a decent price for the meal $71 before tax and tips.
All of the food was incredible, from the chicken roll up to the bread that they served, to both of our entrées. But the service left much to be desired. It was my birthday, and that our waitress could not have been more rude or dismissive towards ourtable. Not just about my birthday color but more importantly it when we ask for non-alcoholic beverages as she was a verycondescending. I?m not sure why she was having a bad day but it should have had nothing to do with my late lunch.
