I would strongly advise against visiting Rosspoint. My partner, two friends, and their baby came here for lunch. While my partner and I paid for our food, the other two were paying when the owner came over, grabbed my partner's hand, squeezed it, and asked, "Did he come to take this ****?"—those were his exact words. The food at this restaurant was amazing. I tried the cottage pie made by the lovely June, and it was the best cottage pie I've had in a while. The portions were large and the meal was very hearty. I will definitely be returning!
We recently closed on our holiday home in the area and returned to Rosspoint to enjoy Sid's culinary creations. Were we disappointed? Not at all! The marinated chicken wings were delicious and served in generous portions that could easily suffice as a main course. The steak sandwich was cooked perfectly to our liking and served on freshly baked, warm bread. We plan to frequent the local stables for daily horseback rides along the beach and through the dunes. Rosspoint will be our sanctuary, providing us with good food to replenish our energy, and pints of porter and Heineken served by our friendly hostess, Greta, who always greets us warmly as old friends.
Great food, especially the hake and local lamb. Plus friendly service that really added to our evening. Plus Ross point is such a beautiful area.
Beautiful place, the view are amazing and staff were very friendly and attentive, definitely recommend. Steak sandwich was delicious
After a long hike in the pooring rain my girlfriend and I searched a place to dry. They were closed but the owner was very friendly and let us in : He even served us a cup of hot tea and a pint of Guinness.
