Mountain Buzz - Georgetown
Mountain Buzz
Description
Nestled in Georgetown, Mountainbuzz Pizzeria offers thin, crispy, Chicago-style pies, generous portions, and customizable stromboli in a cozy, family-run spot. Streamside outdoor seating, a kid birthday table, and warm-baked treats enhance its small-town charm, making it a popular stop for hikers, families, and travelers. While many praise the ingredients, vibe, and friendly team, intermittent staffing lapses and unpredictable hours or closures have occasionally marred the experience.

This was the best place! My boys said it’s the best pizza they ever had, we sat outside by the river at picnic tables and Adirondack chairs they had provided, and it was ran by a father and daughter who were both so personable and awesome! 10/10, no, 12/10!Vegetarian options: Great!Parking: Great!Kid-friendliness: Perfect place for families to eat and enjoy scenery and the river.
After a fantastic trip to Colorado, highlighted by time spent in Beaver Creek, we stopped on the way back to the airport in lovely Georgetown for lunch, and stumbled on this cafe. Was in the mood for pizza; tried it and loved it. The food was great, as was the service, and the atmosphere was also nice, especially the outside area, which is streamside and peaceful. Would definitely recommend based on our experience.
In 2006 my family was on a road trip to Washington DC from Los Angeles. We stopped in Georgetown and had the Mart Man pizza at Mountainbuzz pizzeria. At the time only one employee worked there which was Mart man himself. It was one of the greatest pizzas I had. After that meal we got back on the road only for me to realize we were going the wrong way. I told my dad. He said he was sure we were going the right way. After a few minutes on the highway and passing a couple of familiar rocks, I made a deal with my dad. If I was right and we were going the wrong way, then he would drive back to Georgetown and we would have pizza. We had another Martian pizza for dinner that day. We also got to see the railroad and mines the following day. I still think of Georgetown and Mountainbuzz pizzeria to this day. I’ve recommended it to all my friends who happen to drive through the Rockys. If you’re ever just passing through make sure to stop by and get a slice. You won’t regret the small town vibes and the absolute best slice of pizza.
We visited this restaurant during Georgetown's Christmas celebration. The pizza was delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it wasn't too crowded at the time. I would definitely eat here again when we're in Georgetown. Kid-friendliness: They have a special birthday table set up for kids.
