We celebrated a friend's birthday at Local Feed, and it was a fantastic experience! The terrace seating was lovely, allowing us to order and share several small plates. We then decided to indulge in the steak special of the day and their family-style fried chicken, which was a great way to sample the diverse offerings at Local Feed. Every bite was delicious, and we were all satisfied by the end! The staff was attenti... View all feedback.
What Barb lloyd dislikes about Local Feed:
We just left this place the second time here.we had a $125. Gift card . How can this place stay in business. The food was too salty, the fried chicken inedible, dry and soooo much breading.will definitely discourage anyone from eating here View all feedback.
This place is magical. We were in Kentucky for my best friends bachelor week and this is one of those underrated places that no one brings up as a suggestion when you’re on the trail. Well let me be the one to tell you, GO HERE! Especially if you’re on the bourbon trail. Their bourbon selection is excellent with fair pricing for the pours. Now the food.. we ordered the entire menu -not kidding- and honestly i couldnt decide what i liked the best. Each appetizer, each entree, each side was better than the last. I really loved the fried chicken and Ham Chop. The skin was so crispy and the meat on the inside was juicy and flavorful. They give you a little side of hot sauce that seemed to be made for chicken like a sweet 60 year long marriage. I could go on and on but honestly, just go here and see for yourself.
The Valentine's Day specials were amazing! Lobster bisque with tender chucks of lobster in an aromatic broth. Extremely flavorful beef wellington, and dark chocolate cake with a plump chocolate-dipped strawberry. Hope they add some the these items to the already yummy regular menu!
I had the ham chop served with grits, roasted onions, and a red-eye gravy. It sounded rich and salty, but it wasn’t at all! The chop was the most delicately smoked piece of meat I’ve ever had, and it was a generous portion—I could barely finish half of it. The grits were delicious, bursting with corn flavor. The red-eye gravy had a bold coffee taste that wasn't overwhelming. The fried onion rings were a delightful addition; they were thickly sliced, perfectly crispy, and not too greasy. I typically don’t eat pork except for ham as a last resort, but this dish changed my perspective. I realized I enjoy ham when it’s well-prepared without being overly salty or smoky. My husband ordered the beef stroganoff. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was smooth, not overly thick, complemented by a delightful hint of crème fraîche. The beef tips were tender and juicy, without being overcooked. Dessert was fantastic as well. The bread pudding was buttery and creamy, drizzled with bourbon sauce. Everything here is so good that this has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Georgetown. If you’re planning to explore the Bourbon Trail, be sure to add this restaurant to your list of must-visit places.
First time visiting and it was awesome! We came for the Sunday buffet and it's a great value. $30 for DELICIOUS fried chicken, brisket and prime rib (after 2pm), and tons of side choices. You can't eat anywhere for less than $15-20 a person these days, and this was worth every penny for the quality and freshness of food. Our server Kayla was also super friendly and attentive! We will definitely return the next time we are in town. Thank you all!!
We were spending the night nearby and did a Google search for places to eat, and the Local Feed seemed like a good option, we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is fitting for the name and welcoming in all aspects. The service was top notch! The entire staff functions as a team, and maintains service at a five star level the entire course of the meal, friendly and professional. Now the food, WOW!! We ordered what seemed like everything on the menu, because it all sounded intriguing, and we were thankful we did. Each dish had it's own unique flavor and flare, but no dish stood out as a favorite because they were all favorites. Best part was the overall combinations of flavors shared throughout the meal, absolutely amazing to taste. We enjoyed our meal(s) so much we were tempted to stay another night just so we could enjoy the Local Feed a second time. We highly recommend the Local Feed.
