Genie was amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. Never met another fellow University of Delaware grad! Wanted to stay here all day if it weren’t a Sunday. Will definitely be back as soon as we can to try wine and enjoy great conversation! View all feedback.
What Tyler Hawthorne dislikes about Barons Creek Vineyards Tasting Room Georgetown:
I did not like my experience here. The sommelier did not make it special and the wine did not taste good. Notably, 40% of the wines listed on the tasting we signed up for ended up NOT in stock to try. The tasting room is dark and unwelcoming; I was disappointed. I recommend Grape Creek Vineyards down the street. View all feedback.

We’ve visited this restaurant several times over the past few years. I’m not very knowledgeable about wine, but I do enjoy it. Unfortunately, the staff isn't very helpful. While they will sell you whatever you want, if they notice you're not a member and are just there for a nice evening, they’ll open your wine and then seem to forget about you. We waited for half an hour before someone finally brought us the check. I can't help but feel like they prioritize certain customers over others.

Who doesn’t love the chance to enjoy a wine tasting on a Saturday afternoon? While exploring Georgetown, we stumbled upon this charming and cozy tasting room. It was a perfect respite from the Texas heat. My husband, who typically doesn't drink wine, tried a glass of Tempranillo and surprisingly found it delightful, appreciating the refreshing and subtle flavors often present in red wines. I chose the Rosé, which was an excellent choice for the summer weather—light and delicate, making it ideal for pairing with fish or a backyard barbecue. They also have wine clubs and memberships available with shipping options. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just curious, be sure to add this place to your must-visit list!

The entire restaurant was fantastic! The food was incredible! Now, let’s talk about Jennie—she was amazing and provided so much helpful information! Her presence truly made the trip worth it.
Have done wine tastings all over the world and working on becoming a sommelier. My husband and I have been to Barons Creek tasting room twice. The first time we did not have a reservation but it was not that busy. They had 3 people working but no one acknowledged us until after we 'd been standing there for a few minutes. When the man finally did come over, he seated us and handed us menus but when I started to ask questions he dismissed me and said someone else would be over. The service was fine after that but we considered not staying or coming back. On our second visit, we had a reservation. The service was mediocre in comparison to the members and when we asked for water we were given sparkling which is a no-no. I understand that they cater to their members but if you want people to join you should still treat all customers with the same cordiality.
Okay, so we sort of just stumbled into this place while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant...and it was the best decision we've made in a while. The wines here are amazing. And I'm not just saying that. I'm a Napa Sonoma veteran, and I lived in Washington for many years, where we had some really great wines. I would choose Barons Creek Vineyards over most of the wineries I've ever been to. Everything we tried (and we tried a lot of wines was excellent — the Sauvignon Blanc, the Chardonnay, the Rosé (keep in mind, we're red wine drinkers ... the Zinfandel, the red blends — we would come back for any of them. And the service was impeccable, too. David, Trisha, and Hanne were all amazing. I even got to sit in Dennis' chair! (That's right. Oh, and the live music was ON effing POINT. We will definitely be back, possibly even next weekend. Thank you, Barons Creek. #baronscreekwineroom
