What a lovely quaint coffee shop. Breakfast (French Toast with bacon syrup) is so delicious. They serve it all day too. The owners are super friendly. I will definitely be back. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Hungry Camel:
I visited the Hungry Camel for coffee and a meeting with a client, and it was my second time there. When I arrived, there was no one sitting outside. The stunning mountain view and welcoming staff make you forget you're in a shopping center. The free-range eggs and chicken are what make this coffee shop one of my favorites. Their bread is fantastic, with a wide variety to choose from. In addition to a wonderful breakfast or lunch experience, you can take home a fresh loaf of bread, some free-range eggs, locally made cheese, and an assortment of baked treats to share with those at home who missed out on the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread.
I visited the Hungry Camel for coffee and a meeting with a client, and it was my second time there. When I arrived, there was no one sitting outside. During my first visit, I had ordered a coffee and a juice. However, when I went to pay, the male owner explicitly told me that he does not allow anyone to sit outside, conduct business, and drink coffee, as that space is reserved for customers who are ordering food. There was no sign indicating this policy. I then asked if I could sit inside and just have coffee, but he mentioned that the indoor seating is usually full, despite there being only one table occupied at the time. It was clear I was not welcome. To top it off, the coffee was bitter as well. I won't be returning to this place again.
The burger was fantastic, accompanied by onion rings and extra fries. Oh my goodness! The cappuccino was enjoyable, but the cup size felt a bit small considering the price. Our waiter, a young gentleman, was friendly and polite, even though we arrived just before closing. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and artisan bread were absolutely wonderful. Thank you!
This charming little café located inside the Pick n Pay on Knysna Road is quite convenient. They bake a variety of breads and incorporate them into their meals. They also have an excellent selection of vegan options. The food is fantastic! It's a lovely spot to relax after shopping or while waiting for someone.
