We walked there with our two sons on a wet Sunday - the long way via Fussbach. What a find - the location is absolutely idyllic and the dining room really nice and cosy on a wet day. The food on offer was great traditional home made fayre - we had various flammenkuchen and also the hausplatte. The cream cheese on the platter was good enough for us to buy some to take away with us
The black forestyard is located in the middle of the forest in a very beautiful location with a magnificent view of the black forest. after a great hike, the strohhof is happy to be the destination. holzofenbrot with black forest ham, speck, hausmacher wurst or with cheese. really great!

Great location, friendly service. Menu is a bit restricted, but once you get there, you will understand why!
