Excelent food, good service fresh seafood and fish. reasonable price, will happily go back. attentive service.
Very busy restaurant with excellent fillet steak that is good value. Service was disappointing, on arrival waiter was not overly welcoming, no wine list provided and we were told on asking for a glass of wine the House wine was good (it wasn’t great). Also I overheard a waiter informing the neighbouring table about the available fish of the day, we were never informed. Tiramisu was poor, no taste of coffee but the great steak made up for service and dessert shortfalls.
This is a very friendly restaurant with a lively atmosphere, a good service and an extensive menu that is all freshly cooked. the menu offers classic dishes madeira that are cooked to perfection, as well as traditional dishes.
Delicious food, excellent service and very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Come and eat at the family restaurant and meet Victoria. Food is delicious and all round a great experience Highly recommended
What a joy! Everything about this place was fantastic from the super friendly and helpful staff to the food and drink. We had such a great evening here. The fish (scabbard fish) was excellent and the wine was so good. The service was speedy but didn’t feel rushed and there was a very rapid turnover of tables with locals and visitors alike. Always a good thing I think in a place with lots of tourists. Really good prices for great quality food. The desserts were heavenly- the tricky bit is choosing. Had to have a glass of Madeira as well and finished off with a Tim Tam Tum! Go if you get the chance when you’re in Funchal! Well be back!!
