Chomps has recently raised their prices, despite consistently failing to deliver attentive service. Several diners recount instances where portions of their meal were missing, as well as experiences with inattentive servers. The only redeeming quality seems to be the skilled chef who prepares the food excellently. Despite high prices being expected, patrons hope for better service quality to match the cost. On a positive note, the food receives positive feedback, with some mentioning the large portions that provide for enjoyable leftovers. Ultimately, Chomps seems to struggle with maintaining a balance between pricing and quality service.
The chef Jose is amazing cooks great and is great company. We request him any chance we get
Our server was talking to other servers quite a bit of the time so it was hard to get his attention to get more drinks etc. Our party and then one next to us didn't get part of their meal, but since we hardly saw our waiter, we just paid our bill and left. Oddly the was the second time this has happened at Chomps. They raised their prices again btw. The cook was excellent and did a good job with everything. I guess you go into Chomp knowing the cost is going to be huge, but still you'd think they would match it with the same service
I wanted to give them stars but was disappointed with the bar area. While waiting for my spouse to get to our rsvp I waited at the bar, I figured I’d get a drink. No one ever came to attend me although the hostess went to the back to let someone know I was waiting. If it wasn’t for the great cook at the Teppan grill (jose) kudos to him! for making it a great dinner
Chef Jose is fantastic in the kitchen and is also a pleasure to be around. We make sure to request him whenever possible.
Our server was frequently engaged in conversation with other servers, making it difficult to get his attention for more drinks. Our table and the one next to us did not receive part of their meal, but we did not see our waiter much to address it. Eventually, we just paid our bill and left. Interestingly, this is the second time this has happened at Chomps. Also, they recently raised their prices. On a positive note, the chef did an excellent job with the food. Despite expecting high prices at Chomps, it would be nice if the service matched the cost.
