We went here in the evening without reservations. We were glad to get in as our favorite restaraunt was closed. The setting is beautiful, it is on the lake. The inside looks very quaint. We ordered two different kinds of schnitzel. One was the special of the night with cheese on it, the other with mushroom sauce. I am not sure if there was a new cook in the kitchen or if they had some bad meat but the schnitzel was so tough it was almost inedible. The mushroom sauce was good. Perhaps other food might be better, but I would think when you have a special it should be one of your best things on the menu.
Man sitzt wirklich besonders schön dort,eigentlich mitten in der Stadt (bis zum Domplatz sind es ca.5 min. bis zum Schloß Freudenstein -Mineraliensammlung auch ca. 5 min.) aber trotzdem auf einer Insel. Eine Insel der Gastlichkeit. Wir wurden schnell nach unseren Getränkewünschen gefragt und haben inzwischen die Speisekarte studiert. Es gibt für jeden Anspruch etwas. Wir hatten das Rote-Beete -Carpaccio und waren zufrieden. Bei einem guten Glas Rotwein haben wir lange dort gesessen und uns über die spätabendliche Sonne über dem Wasser gefreut. Ein gelungener Restaurantbesuch.

Maybe other foods could be better, but I would think if you have a special, it should be one of your best things on the menu.
