Overall, the food was fantastic. I ordered the Big John sandwich, and it was not only impressive in size but also outstanding in quality, all for a reasonable price. My dad tried the gravy fries and the franchise, both of which were delicious. Our friend had the Habit and a pound of ribs, and they were also excellent. The meat was cooked perfectly and incredibly juicy. However, I can’t give this place a full five stars because they use peanut oil for their fried items and chicken, which I am severely allergic to, and unfortunately, they had no alternative options. So, if you can eat peanuts, this place is perfect; if you can’t, it’s still quite close to perfection.
I finally visited Chaps in Baltimore, and I can honestly say it's home to some of the most delicious Pit Beef I've ever tasted. The smoky charcoal flavor combined with the tenderness of the beef was incredible. It completely met my expectations; I've been eager to try this original Pit Beef spot ever since I first saw it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives years ago. This sandwich is undoubtedly one of the best I've ever had, anywhere!
This restaurant is simply delightful! The pit beef is outstanding, but they offer so much more, including fantastic sauces and a special mac and cheese that my kids adore. The establishment is clean, and the staff is friendly, making it a great go-to spot for my family and me.
Casual atmosphere. Dining area is mostly nice picnic tables and benches. Limited menu. Very clean. Excellent service from friendly staff. You can watch your food being prepared. The food is delicious. Plenty of free parking.
