The service was second to none. Our table staff were wonderful and we were visited by the chef and manager as well. The high tea menu had an abundance of exquisite cakes but there were no hot savouries to make you desire the sweets. It did need that balance. The bunny cocktail was very indulgent and fun. A great Easter experience overall and glad we attended. View all feedback.
What DonaldD dislikes about Motion Grill:
Very disappointed. Expected a seafood buffet, like in other hotels, and like the Marriott used,to have; however each diner received a platter of, cold seafood and no hot options. View all feedback.
We have been to the Marriott buffet on the Gold Coast (incredible) and thought this would be similar. Very underwhelming! Eggs were hard, hash browns were soggy, bacon seemed boiled. Coffee was $5.50 each. $87 for breakfast for 2 - I have had better buffets at surf clubs for $15 a head. Never again!
I've been here a few times for work drinks but never been for a coffee. I had a great experience, the staff were friendly, even the duty manager acknowledges their customers! Top service! I had a flat white and was impressed! Love the biscotti! Thank you, will definitely come back for more!
Tonight was the third time I've visited Motion Bar & Grill and was yet again very impressed with the overall experience. Our waiter was more than helpful, making suggestions about which wines we should pair with what dishes and regularly checking in with us. Both the entrees and mains were reasonably priced for the portion size. Ingredients were fresh and all meat components were cooked perfectly (sumac lamb - deliciously tender!!!). @motionbarandgrill @marriothotel #brisbane #brisbanefood #brisbanefoodblog
Came here one morning just to try their buffet breakfast and found it mediocre/ average/ nothing more than the ordinary. However I do like their consistency with each of their heated dishes and their freshness in their cold sections. Staff were friendly and helpful, decor was the norm as per every hotel in Brisbane CBD, but the atmosphere and vibe was still tense... I guess everyone doesn't feel relaxed enough and were ready to shoot off to work or conference etc etc.
Terrible! Took several minutes to be seated; not even a glance from staff. Food took over half an hour to arrive (10 minute menu), and then it tasted off. Having been here dozens of times before, average service is not uncommon (depends completely on which staff are on), but combination of poor food, long delays, inattentive service is most disappointing. For such a nice restaurant it should be run 10X better.
