We experienced an issue with the shower; the water temperature barely exceeded lukewarm, while the sink water got quite hot—likely due to a problem with the hot water regulator. The room and bathroom were mostly clean, as there seemed to be routine surface cleaning, but a deeper cleaning or refurbishment is definitely needed. The bathroom ventilation fan was covered in dust, and the back of the bathroom sink and the caulk were quite dirty. Additionally, there was an unpleasant odor in the room, likely from someone smoking recently; the bed cushion smelled distinctly of cigarette smoke. While our stay wasn't terrible, I do believe that at a rate of $105.00 per night, the hotel owner should either update the facilities or lower the room prices.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. The check-in process was smooth and enjoyable. Although the hotel lobby was closed due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the area, everything was very clean, including the restrooms. The premises were well-organized and trash-free, with plenty of well-lit parking available. We felt safe throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and spotless, with impressive water pressure – a huge plus for me since I really appreciate a good shower. While we had toilet paper provided, there wasn't an extra roll, so we called the front desk to request some. We were initially told to come down to the desk, but about 30 minutes later, a staff member knocked on our door with the supplies. She was very polite and explained that she had to deliver towels to another room before she could assist us – a little mix-up that we both found amusing. The beds were comfortable, though they could use some updating. I had a good night's sleep, so they certainly weren't unbearable. There were a few minor issues in the bathroom that need attention, but I understand that the pandemic may have slowed down maintenance. A small area in the bath needs repair, and the back of the door was a bit worn, likely due to frequent cleaning. On a positive note, the guest products provided were excellent! If I had to nitpick, I would say that there isn't enough sugar for coffee. The packets include napkins, stirrers, one sugar, two artificial sweeteners, and a creamer, but most sugar users need two to four packets. My first stop every morning was the lobby in search of extra sugar, as I usually travel with my own but sometimes forget. The coffee in the rooms was also great, and the mini-fridge worked perfectly. Be sure to take time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast – it’s fantastic! As a lover of biscuits and gravy, I can say theirs is delicious. The cinnamon rolls are amazing too! Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and genuine. The pool looked like a wonderful and refreshing feature, but it was closed due to COVID-19, which was my only disappointment since we had a child with us. Overall, the location is perfect, right off the interstate and near a gas station, a donut shop, Walmart, and several dining options. A big thank you to everyone at the hotel who made our weekend such a wonderful experience!
During our travels through Mississippi, we stayed at this hotel for one night. We made a last-minute booking through Hotels.com since we weren't sure how far we would drive. We arrived late but had no issues with check-in; the staff at the reception was very friendly. Once we got to our room, we were impressed by the comfort of the beds. Over the course of a ten-night trip with four different hotels, this one was by far the most convenient. The room was extremely clean. We passed on breakfast when our travel companions said it was just okay and not particularly special. The main drawback was that they had to order food and then take it back to their room. With four people staying in one room, it made things a bit cramped. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through.

When I first started staying here a couple of years ago, this was a nice hotel. But I guess with COVID as is with a lot of things, this hotel has gone down hill big time! The lack of up keep shows. I won’t say it’s a dump but if they don’t start getting it under control it will be. Unfortunately there’s not a lot to choose from in Forest.
