I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant a few years ago. It was fantastic. I was so impressed that I even wrote a review about it, which is now included in my new book.
I am quite surprised by some of the negative feedback about China Bar. It seems like people have different expectations of bars in Flushing.
One star because they allow smoking indoors without addressing it. There's a prominent sign that says "no smoking," yet it smells like a stale ashtray inside.
The drinks are reasonably priced. The bar tenders offer free peanuts and popcorn. The clientele is approximately 90% Asian-American.
