This place has the most awesome burgers and wings! Their handshake sauce is outta this world!
I have to say that I’ve been dining there for years. I stopped eating in because the service wasn’t great, but I’m pleased to report that during my last three visits, the service improved significantly. (Thank you, George!) His service reminds me of the good old days when both the service and the food were exceptional. I really enjoy going out for dinner, and good service is very important to me. I had a wonderful dining experience; it’s a fantastic place for families. And of course, they have the best wings—Handshakes sauce is simply the best!
Best chicken wings in town! You have to try the house sauce—it's a tangy pineapple-based sauce with just the right amount of heat, and it's fantastic. Thursdays are special with all-you-can-eat ribs and wings. I also hope they bring karaoke back on Saturdays! Aside from the bar atmosphere, this is a wonderful place for a family to enjoy an excellent American meal without having to resort to a chain restaurant on Route 9. It’s popular among seniors and families with young kids who come for early dinners. I recently celebrated my birthday there at 3 PM, and when we arrived, the owner was actively cleaning the light fixtures and ketchup bottles. He ended up being our waiter, and the service was outstanding. Over time, I feel like I’ve gotten to know him well; he truly has the ideal demeanor for the restaurant and bar scene. You always feel valued, acknowledged, and very well-fed! My personal favorite is the wings platter, but I've sampled many different dishes over the years and have always left satisfied. I highly recommend the Porky Mac, the Balboa, loaded potato skins, and the ribs. If you’re planning for a big event, like a Super Bowl party, this is the place to get your wings and appetizers quickly and at fair prices. Before inflation, the wings platter was $16, and now it’s $17.90. It’s reassuring to have such amazing wings right down the street. I recently ordered a large takeout of wings for a boxing match. While most places were hiking up their prices, I simply called Handshakes and ordered four wings platters to go at the regular menu prices. If you order and pay ahead, they won’t let you down for your big event. Lastly, if you find yourself bored on a Sunday afternoon, catching a football game upstairs at Handshakes is always a great choice. Check them out!
