We were recommended to have dinner here by the hostess of the chateau we stayed in. It's in a beautiful riverside setting, and you have to walk alongside the river for a couple of hundred yards to reach it, from where you park your car. As I'm English with a reasonable but rusty command of French, and the charming young waitress was French with a reasonable command of English, we had a fun time speaking to each other... The menu was a little limited but the quality of the food was fine.
Beautiful port on the mayenne in Grez-Neuville, beautiful walks or by bike on the halage road.
The frame is pleasant. The kitchen is good, the fast service but the staff is not friendly or smiling.
You were with family. We had a great time. The setting is magnificent. The atmosphere was good. Everything could have been perfect if there wasn't so much missing on the menu. It's a shame. And maybe put mixed salads on the menu. Eating cold is nice when it's very hot. Otherwise, it was very good. I found it a bit expensive for a tavern.
