However experiences are inconsistent: some guests report long waits, incorrect sides, cold or overcooked items, flat drinks and unsettled coupon handling. Reliable non-dairy milk and steadier management attention are needed for uniformly positive visits.
I visited from Baltimore and decided to grab a quick bite before attending worship. The staff was friendly, but the utensils were dirty, and we had to request boiling water to soak them. The overall cleanliness was concerning, as shown in the picture. Please pay attention to cleaning the area. Other than that, the service was decent, and the food was about what I expected. However, the pancakes were a bit thick and dry.
After ordering, the food we received was subpar. My husband’s eggs were burnt on the bottom, and the bacon was overly tough, resembling a beef jerky texture. The buttermilk pancakes were a bit on the cool side but tasted decent otherwise. Our waitress rarely checked on us or offered refills; we ran out of Pepsi and had to wait. When the check arrived, we presented a gift card along with a $5 discount coupon. To our surprise, the waitress returned to our table with our receipt and the $5 coupon, stating that she didn’t know what it was, so she hadn’t applied it. We took the opportunity to clarify that it was a voucher we hoped to use alongside the gift card. She acknowledged her mistake but said she wouldn’t rewrite our check. At that point, we were ready to leave, so we told her it was fine. As someone with a background in the restaurant industry, I found her response to be unacceptable. If there's uncertainty about a policy, asking for clarification or consulting a supervisor would have been the best course of action. Overall, we were let down by both the service and the food quality. It’s so disheartening because we truly enjoy IHOP. We hope for a better experience next time.
Our waitress, Nancy, is the only good thing in this place. Temperature inside was 80, I was allowed to wait for 5 minutes in their closed waiting room before I was told I needed a mask to walk 12 steps to my table, wife's food was short and what she did get was overcooked. The waitress had to get a menu to prove to the cook that he was wrong.. My food was tasty, and the portion was correct.
The food and the prices are both good. I've been here twice in the past month and the service on each occasion was excellent. Both times, the restaurant was nearly empty and I'm guessing that may be due to them remaining closed long after other areaplaces had opened again from COVID-19. I'm that people begin to realize they are here because they really are a great spot.Portions are big. The new menu has some really interesting options like the protein pancakes. Give it a try cause it's alwaystime for breakfast.
Really disappointing experience. I ordered the build-your-own omelette with hash browns. The hash browns tasted like they had been frozen for ages—rock hard. Oddly, they were even mixed into my omelette. The cheese was sloppily placed on top, making the whole dish unappetizing. I expected more from a well-known chain like IHOP, especially given the higher prices, but it didn’t live up to the local diners. Definitely won’t be making that mistake again. I hope others have better experiences, but after reading other reviews, it seems this is the norm rather than the exception. Management clearly needs to make some changes.
