We found this little restaurant on our first night in Portugal. What a wonderful way to be introduced to this country! Our host was friendly and our meal was great. Our host introduced us to different food and local wines and liqueurs and made a suggestion to add Monsaraz to our itinerary. Thank you again! View all feedback.
What rnacif dislikes about Moi-te:
We've ended up here and apparently it was nice and cozy. Don't do it, don't go for lunch. Bad service and bad food. It took forever to have our food and not good quality food. View all feedback.
Travellers looking for a casual bar/restaurant that boasts Alentejo authenticity need look no further! Móe-Te is fab. Linger over a glass of local wine and nibble on olives or deliciously prepared quail eggs, or give your taste buds and treat and order up a full meal. Don’t miss the thinly sliced cured ham or the fantastic shrimp dishes—all served on traditional clay pottery from the region. The dishes appear to be simple, but boast excellent and nuanced combinations of flavours, all with fresh herbs and fine-quality olive oil. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal, and extremely welcoming. There is a stage area for musical performances and a quiet area by the bar with large tables and benches. Out front is a lovely garden filled with lemon trees. Highly recommended!!!

We find this place really good, the tapas and wine were excellent. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. Good music, cool and chill! Thanks a lot!
You definitely need to visit this garden pub! And if you want to hear wonderful Alentejo music, go on a Wednesday. There is a group of male singers with the most amazing voices. We were there by chance on a Wednesday and enjoyed local tapas simple and good and excellent value and then they arrived and started singing! We came at 19:30 and left at 1:00 am! We had such a great time. The hosts were so welcoming and so friendly/ persönlich you would say in German. We would like to say a huge thank you for such a great evening. We will always remember it and it made our stay in Evora so special! We will definitely come back if we come to Evora and tell everyone we know to go there, especially on a Wednesday!!!
So, all of the guidebooks recommend these teeny tiny restaurants that have three tables and if you forgot to make reservations on a Friday night in July, you may not get into any of them. So, what do you do? You find the cute garden restaurant who seats you quickly (even though it seems really busy, has amazing food, and has really friendly waitstaff. If you're not into the local pork, perhaps this wouldn't work as well for you, but the food was great and I really enjoyed it here. I'm glad we wandered to it, and it was a great place to end up for dinner, sitting outside in the lovely evening, and enjoying fabulous wine!
