This is a great spot to take the kids for a weekend outing. There are plenty of activities to keep them entertained, including zoo animals, an indoor soft play area, various rides, walk-in enclosures, and even a dinosaur world. I'm sure this place will be a hit in the summer months. However, we visited during the second week of January, and many of the rides were closed, and some bird exhibits were not open due to av... Absolutely brilliant. Loads to do here. We spent the whole day here from open till close and didn't run out of activities to do, we actually probably couldve done more! The animals were all really quite friendly, especially the goats that allowed the kids to pet. More animals than alot of other places I've been to. Then there's the dinosaurs! So many dinosaurs! There's even a train tour of the dinosaurs land. Baby changing facilities and buggy stations can be found around the while site which comes in really handy. The soft play areas were really clean and well maintained. Lots and lots of seating areas to have some food and a coffee and plenty of baby seats available. There's also an indoor beach just at the back of the gift shop. Only paid £8 entry pp which I think was really cheap for what you get. Travelled over an hour to get here and would do it again!
What a fantastic day out! Easy online booking and quick check in upon arrival. Really good Open space animal park, free outdoor parking, average priced cafe, toilet facilities and plenty of play areas and fun for everyone. We went for a day out under covid restrictions, the park was well laid out, with a clear 1 way system, but you can go back in round and round again if you want to. Lots of stations to wash your hands and sanitiser gel also available. You do have to wear a mask for the indoor areas, but outdoors was fine and you just keep your distance as you would expect. There were lots of animals to see from farm animals to kangaroos, beavers, tortoises, tadpoles to birds, parrots to even insects too. My favourite was being able to walk with the goats to the rabbits. I counted around 4 outdoor play areas (there maybe were more) with slides, swings, tractors and climbing frames etc and 2 indoor soft play areas too! There was also a cafe for food, but we had brought our own picnic to eat and there was plenty of areas to sit outside or inside too. Prices for the cafe looked average around £6-£8. £6 for sausage chips and beans, we didn’t get anything so can’t comment on quality or value. Overall I would highly recommend, we had a fab day seeing all the animals and it was affordable and local. The only downside I would say is it wasn’t great for buggies as a lot of areas are gravelled, wood chips or grass, so not the easiest trying to steer my stroller around.
A great place for the price, a fun half day out with the kids and more than what we could fit in lots of animals to see (some less enclosure space than seems fair to a lay person but most are large and look enriched). Fun dinosaur exhibit, large equipment to play on. Good, ventilated food spaces in this Covid era. We'll be back!... We went back, every bit as good as remembered for the price. Nice!
A wonderful hidden gem! We visited for the first time unsure what to expect but will absolutely be returning in the future once our little one is a bit bigger. Lots of things to do for visitors of all ages and a good variety of all sorts of animals. Definitely recommend!
Fantasic family day out!!! We headed here to celebrate my grandson 's birthday, it was the perfect family day out to suit all ages. We managed to book the hottest day of the year too! Signage isnt great along the route or the actual entrance. You could easily miss it without a countdown in yards or better signs when you reach it. The cost to enter is quite good value, with lots to see and do for hours and not as expensive as other adventure farm/zoo places. There is plenty of parking and it is free, which is a bonus. We arrived at opening, so there were no queues as we booked 10am, we went straight in and worked our way round. There were lots of play areas, soft play inside or climbing frame slides outside, breaking up the animals and adding interest. There 's a great selection of amphibian, zoo, and farm animals to see, mostly up close too if you 're lucky. A lovely section is the petting area, to walk in with the animals, some rabbits to stroke, and other smaller animals within touching distance too! There is a whole dinosaur walk through trail, with lots of 'Fun Facts ' about all the dinosaurs, insects, lizards, and snakes. This takes time to get round, so luckily there are toilets just before. All by the furthest indoor soft play and go karts. There are toilets at the entrance with the cafe too, which has a good selection of hot or cold food. Prices are a little high, though, so a picnic is a great idea if watching the pennies. We would certainly recommend for a family day out!
