Cavanaugh's
Menu
The menu of Cavanaugh's from Evansville comprises about 186 different menus and drinks. On average you pay about $64.9 for a dish / drink.
Despite mixed reviews, this Riverfront restaurant offers a romantic ambiance and top-notch service. Dishes like truffle fries and French onion soup stand out, but consistency in food temperature seems to be an issue. While some patrons rave about delicious meals, others receive rare steaks and bland fare. Exceptional service from knowledgeable staff adds a positive touch. The establishment's old-school New York vibe and beautiful river views promise a memorable experience, even if the food quality is inconsistent. Perfect for special occasions or a low-key date night, this restaurant has potential for excellence with a few tweaks.

Feedback
Was Jacob Johnson at Cavanaugh's a mag?
The restaurant and its staff were fantastic. I rated the food 4 out of 5, mainly because one dish didn't sit well with me – the lobster bisque. I'm not sure what was off, but after eating half a cup, I felt quite unwell, which unfortunately affected my enjoyment of the rest of my meal (although everything else was incredible). It's on the pricier side, but considering it's an upscale steakhouse, that's to be expected... View all feedback.
What Lazaro Jaskolski dislikes about Cavanaugh's:
Well, the server did not come by for a long time. Once we got our food, my steak was pretty good and so was my boyfriend’s prime rib but my Parmesan herb mashed potatoes were completely cold and his baked potato was Luke warm. We sat there for a while with empty glasses. We have ate here a few times but this was not one of the better times View all feedback.
Our waiter Sergei was very good, the restaurant itself has an oldschool New York vibe, and the views of lights reflecting on the river were beautiful. Husband had a filet that looked like it was barely oz, which he said was only marginal. I had King crab legs, which were mostly good, if a little dry. Our sides of broccoli and Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked and delicious. Overall, we’d go again just to soak up the vibe, but probably not for the food
At first when we arrived, we were a little concerned because there were drunk guys at the bar that were being very loud. We had a reservation at and we were sat right away. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was wonderful!! My husband and I had a great time!
First of all, the food is excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. The service was also quite good. Our dinner for two came to $200, which is what I expected...
