Here is the place to go if you want to experience the atmosphere of the old bar and pub style of the Ruhrpott. No fancy bells and whistles, straight the beer and the food. Try the Samtkragen for a shot experience. View all feedback.
A must visit in Essen. One of the last authentic “Kneipen”. Enjoy your dinner late at night with a good “Stauder” beer.
This place was great. Went there on a weekday and the staff was very friendly. They only accept cash and card if it is EC (not your standard Visa). Next, I had to try the local beer called a Stauder. It's a pills and was recommended and it's wasn't the best but unique I would say. Next I tried there Pfeldwein. That may have been misspelled but it's like the perfect combo. Tastes like a radler but smooth like wine. Definitely give it a try and let me know how you like it. If I get the chance to go back I for sure will and try some other recommended drinks. Finally, for the review I will have to give this place a 7 out of 10 on that scale. It had great drinks and an even better staff that were very accommodating and sweet.
