We had a fantastic time at our friend's birthday party at this authentic and charming old golf course venue. The bar service was excellent, offering a great selection of drinks. What a wonderful night for our recent birthday party set within an exceptional wooden panelled venue/room with views into the forest from the golf course (19th hole). Service catering top notch and all agreed it was one of the best parties anyone had been to in recent years. Venue and catering highly recommended for parties/functions, and the daytime menu looked above par for the golfers too. Bar and beer choice excellent too. I wonder if you can eat there and not be a member? Would be good as well !
Short of staff ,no organisation, main meals on cold plates and service very very slow.would not recommend as a venue for a function
I chose Theydon Golf Club as the venue for my wife’s surprise 40th birthday party in March 2015 and it was at the time when Pembermans had taken over the catering at the venue. I must say from our 1st meeting through to the party itself it was a pleasure to deal with the guys at Pembermans as nothing if ever a problem for them and they made the organising of the party a stress free occasion for me. The food they made for the night was brilliant from the Bacon rolls and the Hot Dogs for the children through to the Veggie Rolls (Which were so good that the meat eaters gobbled them up too). On the night the guys where great and ensured that the night went smoothly for me ensuring the food came out at the right time and that everyone was happy. I can’t Thank these guys enough for the role they played in making my wife’s party perfect for me. Great catering at a fair price and great guys to deal with. Highly recommend this team.
We hired Pembermans to handle the catering for our wedding at Theydon Bois Golf Club. Chris Hughman and his family team impressed us with their exceptional barbecue cuisine, which delighted all of our guests. The day started off wonderfully, with the famous Pembermans van serving delicious bacon, sausage, and egg rolls. Their philosophy of using quality ingredients and treating them with respect truly paid off in the flavors of their dishes. The venue decoration was beautiful, the bar service was excellent, and overall, they delivered an amazing wedding reception for us. We highly recommend Chris and his team - give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
