The spicy curry at this restaurant is excellent and satisfying. The service can be chaotic at times, but the staff is friendly. The veggie vindaloo and dhansak dishes were extremely tasty. Worst indian restaurant i ever have been to..I had a terrible experience at River Spice Reading . The food was not tasty at all, it was just too spicy with no flavour to it. I made a reservation for a party of 6 and we were seated right by the river, which was incredibly picturesque. The food was delicious and served hot. The service was a bit slow when we first placed our order, but improved greatly afterwards. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
The restaurant is extremely tidy and welcoming. The staff were courteous and amiable. The food was promptly served after ordering, and we all relished a delightful meal. It would definitely be worth returning to this place.
Visits Monday night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great! We drove through Reading and stayed at the hotel (one night), so wanted to eat something on site. We had read a few reviews that say it was something meh, but our experience wasn't that! We had both appetizers that we did not regret later on because of the quality, but because none of us could finish our net, which was absolutely wonderful!!!! The butter Chicken sauce was completely divine! Upstairs when out, the house Pinot was cold and sweet and the Cobra beer was fizzy. Both perfect compliments for our meal. If we go through reading again, we would absolutely not hesitate to eat there. 5 stars of us!
I dined at an excellent Indian restaurant located by the Thames where the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my meal was completely gluten-free, even going as far as using fresh oil and pan.
This is a charming restaurant with delicious food located along the Thames River. Situated near Caversham Bridge in Reading, UK, there are plenty of dining options on either side of the river.
