Lofty is one of my favorite places to visit in North County. I am very particular about almond milk and I must say Lofty does it right by making their own. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I enjoyed sitting on the fantastic terrace with a cool breeze from the roasting facility. Girl with glasses and dark hair was rude today. Nice location, but not returning. She asked here or to go? I said I'm eating here, but I'd like my coffee in a to-go cup. She snarled and put everything in wasteful garbage instead of just listening. It's weird that it can only be one way.To management: hire people that aren't incompetent can listen to clients. Yesterday, after a long flight from NYC, I stopped at this restaurant for a much-needed pick-me-up. I ordered Turkish coffee with cardamom and raw sugar, along with avocado toast. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. A must-try spot in Encinitas.

The baristas are incredibly friendly, and the croissants and pastries are delightful. I really enjoy working in the outdoor area on sunny days. The street can get a bit noisy if you’re taking phone calls, but overall, it has a fantastic atmosphere.
Extraordinary cup of coffee every single time. I also mail order my coffee beans from them (I live an hour away) for freshly roasted coffee at home. I am never disappointed, and it's fun tasting all the different varieties.
