Wonderful dinner with my wife while on a business trip. The food was excellent and the portions more than generous in fact, our server suggested sharing which was perfect. The mussels with tomato based sauce were outstanding, as was the lobster tagliatelle. Warm welcome, great service and superb food. Il Pasticcio will be our go to whenever we are in Edmonton. I have been coming to Il Pasticcio for several years, Nello and his staff are always truly a delight. The food is rock solid, I love the patio on a summer afternoon/evening. Over the years I have truly enjoyed it. I came last night with a friend for dinner and, once again the service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I had the salciccia appetizer and a few glasses of the house red, Citra. So pleasant sitting on the patio. I also suggest the stuffed red pepper, I always enjoy that dish. And the Jumbo Tiger Prawns are also fabulous. Thank you Hello for many great afternoons and evenings with friends.
Il Pasticcio is long time local Italian restaurant with fantastic Italian food! Their patio is one of the nicest in the City with beautiful flowers, various herbs, and overlooks one of the nicest places in the river valley. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that they have special prices on their Pastas on Tuesdays. and so now one can enjoy some excellent food with a deal!
I eat here as often as I can, the mussels are superb, the bruschetta fresh and perfectly seasoned,the pasta is aldente and piping hot when served, which I have with a perfectly simple arugula salad topped with a shaving of quality parmigiano heavenly
My first visit to Il Pasticcio was one to remember. Incredibly good food, genuinely boisterous Italian atmosphere. Salut!
Honestly it is a shame. The food was great and we loved the atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was severely lacking. We waited over 1.5 hours after ordering for our appetizers and almost 3 hours for our entrees and the server was hardly around, leaving our drinks empty for a lot of the evening. It was my boyfriend's birthday which is why we were out and I had asked the waitress to bring out cake and sing for him and neither happened. I will not be returning because honestly I don't have time for a nearly 4 hour dinner experience even if the food was delicious.
