Middletons - Edinburgh
Middletons
Description
Nestled near Easter Road Stadium, this traditional Scottish pub offers a lively atmosphere, especially on football match days. Known for its friendly, efficient staff and affordable, well-poured pints—including Guinness and Tennent’s—it’s a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The cash-only spot boasts classic decor with football memorabilia, creating a nostalgic charm. While it doesn’t serve food and the interior is modest, its great beer selection and vibrant crowd make it worth visiting. However, occasional issues with cleanliness have been noted, so it’s best to go prepared for a no-frills, authentic pub experience.

If you like real pubs that are not overpriced and pretentious this is the place. No airs and graces in here. Just a good old pint at decent prices.
Look, the place itself is a bit rough and ready. Linoleum flooring, cash only, beer mirrors and Scottish football memorabilia on the walls, and filled mainly with regulars on non-football days. BUT, without a doubt the best pint of Guinness or Tennent's (and the cheapest) on Easter Road. Has its charms. Would definitely recommend.
Good pints, friendly staff, like the old days, unfortunately one of the patrons had a very bad problem with personal hygiene and the stench of stale urine was very noticeable meaning we had to cut our visit short.
It's a proper locals boozer. Cheap pints, football on the TV, punk on the juke box. Rough but fun. Friendly as fk locals. If you have a dog you will be worshipped like a returning warrior ie it's very dug friendly. Price per person: £1–10
