Casa Amiga is a charming Portuguese bakery located on Leith Walk, offering the best coffee in Edinburgh along with delicious pastries and treats. Customers rave about the Portuguese pastries, especially the custard tarts, which transport them back to Lisbon. The bakery also serves vegan cheesecake and a variety of Portuguese food items for purchase. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make Casa Amiga a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists alike. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee break or a tasty treat, Casa Amiga has you covered.
First timers at this place. I can't think of the correct adjectives to describe the sandwiches we had; they were delicious. The coffee was terrific, and the pastries were to die for. It won't be the last time we'll be there
We were told by many people about this new coffee spot and we popped in to check it. We were welcomed by soft and gentle music. The place itself is bigger on the inside just like TARDIS ; And it is cosy and relaxing. I really like the style it is decorated in. People who run the place/ work there are really great in creating unique atmosphere restful and a little bit Southern. You can even forget for a minute about all the rain and wind outside : We popped in just for a coffee but we left with bag filled with Portuguese (I believe: treats. Of course we had coffee as well. It was gentle yet rich in flavour. They have as well big selection of pastries. The one we choose was light and fruity. Just lovely. We will definitely visit again.
Amazing gluten and dairy free cheesecake and great selection of dairy alternative coffees, owner lovely and really friendly, would definitely recommend
Been recently visiting Scotland and found Casa Amiga close to our stay. My husband is Portuguese and we were very happy to found taste of Portugal and have a little treat. The first day we went cafe looked disorganised and unfriendly, gentlemen behind the counter was a bit gruff and did not let us feel welcome at all (which is total opposite what normally you get in Portuguese cafes and cafes in general). Coffee and pastry was good though. They also have a Portuguese products to sell so we only came back to buy few things on a go the next day. To our surprise was a different team and you could feel more positive vibe in the air. Lady behind the counter was friendly, polite and helpful, wish we could have the same experience day before. Overall good selection of Portuguese food and pastries just hope for a right staff
This place is one of my favorites in Edinburgh for breakfast!!. I love all the pastries there and the coffee as well. The staff is very friendly and professional.
