What Keith Thomas dislikes about Alplings:
Offers some different food in Leith, what’s not to like? Casual setting with its own character, nice relaxing staff, I had alpine dumplings which could be too stodgy on their own but the dressing, horseradish and pickled cabbage with cumin lifted them up, went well with refreshing kombucha. Wholesome but perhaps not to my taste, still glad I ate. Intriguing to see what other dishes taste like. View all feedback.
Fantastic eating and a great place to simply take in and off. the dumplings were really full and delicious, the apfelstrudel was enormous and the coffee I had was also excellent. I will definitely be back and recommend a visit to everyone.
The food was delicious and had the joy to taste brand new flavors! the main dumpling dish was really very special and the aprikosenbiscuits were perfect! very low prices, it is worth going if they are on a budget or not, would be the first place I recommend to anyone who goes to edinburgh.
I had dinner here for the first time. I already enjoyed the Alpin dumplings, but the dinner was a big step up. eating was really good, the service was friendly and fast. really enjoyed it and will definitely go back when they do evening service.
I dined here for the first time and I was already impressed with the alpine dumplings, but dinner exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, and the service was both friendly and efficient. I truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely return for their next evening service.
